Biggest Tease EVER.
So Bittersweet...
Wow, it's been forever and a day since I posted.
I guess my last post doesn't actually count as being legit either since it was just a "HAH!" in-your-face regarding the fact that I totally called out the awesomeness of Katy Perry's "Hot N' Cold" four months ago (*congratulatory self pat-on-the-back*).
Man, I so loved that song and now it's all over the effin' radio and the source of some turmoil in my work life as well. I wanted to dislike it for all of those reasons but then I saw the music video and damn, it's just too good.
I doubt lightening will strike twice, but my new obsession is Lenka, whose album I have now listened to probably over 10 times in the last 2 weeks. She's way more indie than Katy (and also lacks the endorsement of Madonna), but man do I love her cute-yet-croony sound.
Whoever said that pop music isn't original is a big fat liar. When a song works, it just works, and no matter how hard you try to find a decent substitute or similar sound, it's just not the same. Just trust me on this.
On another note, I can't believe that 2008 is almost over. I so failed all of my half-year resolutions and am more scattered than ever probably, but have been indulging so much that I failed to notice any of this. Ignorance is temporary bliss.
As someone who is usually adverse to change, I'm actually excited for 2009.
Let's end this with a bang.
